Ronald Isley may have soul but can he go solo?
The 68-year-old founder and front man of The Isley Brothers is releasing his first solo album on Tuesday, two days after being honored at the 2010 Soul Train Awards on Sunday.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the show — which was filmed on Nov. 10 but aired Nov. 28 on BET — honored the careers of both Isley and Anita Baker.
“Thanks to all my fans for supporting me for so many years!” Isley tweeted after the show. “I am so appreciative!”
Awards were also handed out to the likes of Eminem and Rihanna (Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year for “Love the Way You Lie”), Usher (Album of the Year for Raymond vs. Raymond) and Alicia Keys (Record of the Year for “Unthinkable [I'm Ready]” and Best Female R&B Soul Artist). Read more…

The teenage heart-throb, Justin Bieber showed off his new haircut on the X Factor on Sunday night when he performed a medley of his hits to promote his new tour.
Justin stomped around stage in a decidedly questionable outfit, but showing of some excellent dance moves. Does anyone know why it his jacket said ‘Stratford’ on the side?
The most shocking thing from the night was the fact that J.B. he has changed his signature messy look for something a bit more refined – perhaps to reflect that he is growing up and isn’t really a kid anymore. Read more…

On last night’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” show, NeNe Leakes visited an attorney and filed for divorce, sending the viewers into a tizzy! Her husband Gregg has been accused multiple times of cheating on her, yet NeNe has stuck it out but today she posted a blog on Bravo’s website called “The Breaking Point.” She says the blowout she had with Gregg was so much more than what was shown to us, and she was in real pain over it, complete with stomach cramps.
“All I can say is, I’m tired!” she writes. “Only I know what I’ve been through! My happiness and independence means everything to me, and I want to follow my heart, but I’m scared! I’m taking baby steps, but I hope I’ve been brave enough for all the women that couldn’t! I hope I was able to show my children what a strong woman looks like and stands for! I will only accept loyalty and trust! My happiness is everything to me!” Read more…
